Barium Hypovanadate, BaV4O9.4H2O

Barium Hypovanadate, BaV4O9.4H2O, or vanadite, as it is called, although it does not correspond to the phosphites, is obtained as a brownish-yellow precipitate, rather insoluble in water, by the addition of barium hydroxide solution to a vanadyl salt.
