Barium Orthoarsenite, Ba3(AsO3)2

Barium Orthoarsenite, Ba3(AsO3)2, is obtained as a white amorphous powder by precipitating barium chloride solution with potassium orthoarsenite and drying at 100° C. in a current of hydrogen. Addition of barium hydroxide solution does not give a pure compound. An acid salt, BaH4(AsO3)2, has also been described.
